We have been photographing weddings since 1998
in the days of colour and black-and-white film,
operating our own darkroom.
We have migrated to digital equipment and have found that this allows us great freedom
to produce something special. The technology also allows us to custom design
your wedding story book, a high quality hard cover glossy coffee table book.

Our style of photography is a
combination photo-journalistic and traditional, adding a lot of close-ups as
well as wide-angle shots. We require the aspiring bride and groom to visit us and discuss
their requirements, ideas and likes. We have a wealth of experience and
will share this with the bride-to-be ... advice on planning and co-ordinating her big day.
Apart from the photos on the wedding day we can also assist with photos for the
invitations, thank-you cards, etc.

A typical wedding day:
- With the wedding starting at 4pm we expect the bride to be dressed
by 3pm for us to start with photos that will be used for enlargements as the make-up and
hair is still perfect. This is generally a stretch of 40min including photos
of the bridesmaids and mother assisting the bride in getting dressed. It is
preferred that the bridal bouquet be available at this stage.
- During the ceremony we remain unobtrusive, taking
as much photos as possible without flash.
- We prefer to take the bride and groom away for
their special photos directly after the ceremony to ensure that the
best light is used for these photos. This should take in the region of 1hr.
- The family photos would be taken at the reception before going in to the hall.
Family photos should not last longer than 30min.
- At the reception we ensure that we take photos of the entrance, the table decorations,
the main table, etc. Depending on the requirements we might spend up to 2hrs at the reception.
- You need to keep in mind issues like travelling times and weather. In total we
spend approx 5hrs taking photos from start to end. Additional time will be charged extra.
